The Neonatology Department has a Transition Nursery, with four thermal cribs where newborns remain for 6-8 hours for controlling their temperature and adapting to a new environment; a Physiological Nursery where newborns are passed to these cribs where they remain for their entire stay. They may be taken to their mother´s room to visit. Lastly, there is a Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) which offers special care depending on the patient´s pathology. There are radiating cribs, incubators, oxygen, ventilators, monitors and specialized and modern equipment, as well as medical care and specialized nurses, 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
