The fundamental goal of this service is to provide safe blood – blood without infectious agents that can be transported via the bloodstream.  The blood tests carried out are: hematocrit, hemaglobin, blood group and Rh factor, white blood cell count, compatibility tests, RPR for syphilis, hepatitis B surface antigen, hepatitis C antibody test, and HIV-AIDS antibody testing.
